Solid wood and curved steel
Elegant furniture with retro appeal: a wooden base with doors and drawers, suspended on curved steel legs. The tension between organic warmth and industrial precision, resolved in a single object.
We design and craft luxury aquariums for private residences, hospitality and exclusive spaces. Every project is unique. Every detail is Italian.
There is an artisanal intelligence in every CaVenza aquarium: it is born from listening, defined in dialogue and takes shape in the hands of our craftspeople, near Florence.
Whether you want a fully autonomous or completely automated ecosystem, we build it together — starting with you.
The CaVenza team has designed and built entire departments for two of Italy's largest public aquariums. The same hands, the same care.
We fully designed and built the The Tropical Garden – A Flutter of Wings department: a complete ecosystem housed within Europe's largest aquarium.
We built the entire insects, amphibians and reptiles department section and a 4m aquarium dedicated to sea urchins.
CaVenza crafted the set of 4 cylindrical aquariums installed in the pavilion that won the Golden Lion for best National Participation at the 2025 Architecture Biennale.
Aquariums integrated into the architecture: water walls, glass dividers, floor tanks. The project is born from within, not added on top.
Scenographic installations that become the hotel's identity element. The guest remembers the aquarium: they remember the hotel.
Marine aquariums designed for moving environments, with patented anti-slosh systems and materials certified for marine use.
Discreet and refined presence for waiting rooms, receptions, representative spaces. The soft fascination of water reduces waiting anxiety.
From tropical reef to Amazonian biotope, from the Mediterranean to cold northern waters: we design and install any aquatic ecosystem. And we care for it over time, with maintenance plans tailored to each biotope.

We design and build aquariums from 500 to tens of thousands of litres. Every glass panel is calculated using finite element analysis (FEM), guaranteeing certified structural safety.
Custom wall, column or island tanks. No limit on form: glass follows architecture, not the other way around.
Every panel is mathematically modelled and verified before production. Zero margin of error on structural glass over 15mm.
Safety float glass and laminated VSG up to 50mm, with seals certified for high hydrostatic pressure.
Our team manages every phase: structural survey, custom transport, on-site assembly and biological commissioning of the ecosystem.
"A 40,000-litre aquarium is not simply a larger aquarium. It is an engineering project in its own right, requiring expertise that most builders do not have."
— Nino Provenza, Co-founder CaVenza
Our launch collection: five interpretations of the aquarium cabinet as a design object, crafted by hand in our Barberino di Mugello workshop, near Florence.
Elegant furniture with retro appeal: a wooden base with doors and drawers, suspended on curved steel legs. The tension between organic warmth and industrial precision, resolved in a single object.
Modular system with steel/aluminium structure clad in marble slabs. Monolithic appearance: the cabinet becomes as much a focal point of the space as the water it contains.
Stone with steel edges and finishes: showcases the volume of water like a stage. Material and minimal presence, adaptable to any interior architecture.
Bold, contemporary forms clad with wooden battens. The contrast between the precise volume and the organic texture creates a visual rhythm that dialogues with moving water.
Combinable modules that create a play of staggered planes: minimal yet rich in the details of the milled solid wood doors. Simplicity as a form of controlled complexity.
On-site or online space survey, project listening, understanding of existing architecture and objectives.
Concept development, material selection, definition of dimensions and integration with the environment.
Structural verification of glass panels for medium and large installations. No approximation.
Photorealistic visualisation of the aquarium in the real context before production. Client approval.
Processing in the CaVenza workshop near Florence. Every piece is checked by those who designed it.
On-site installation, cabling, biological cycle start-up. The ecosystem is delivered alive and stable.
Tailored maintenance programme: periodic visits, water analysis, organism replacement.
We begin with a consultation — in person or remotely — to understand the space, light, architecture and preferences. We design the aquarium to measure, produce it in our workshop near Florence and install it directly in your space. Average time from consultation to installation is 120 working days, unless special agreements are made.
Yes. Every CaVenza aquarium is a turnkey system: tank, cabinet, filtration, sump, lighting, scenery and biological ecosystem start-up. We handle everything, with no middlemen.
Yes. Through our biologists we work with selected importers to directly choose the most suitable specimens — for species, size and colouration — for the ecosystem designed for your space.
Average floor load capacity varies between 300 and 500 kg/m². Factors such as building age, aquarium position in the room and weight distribution affect the assessment. For large installations we always recommend a structural check with a trusted engineer. The exact weight of each aquarium is specified in the quote.
Yes. Our aquariums can be integrated with advanced remote monitoring systems: chemical parameters, temperature, levels and lighting controllable in real time via app. We also offer monthly or seasonal maintenance plans with on-site visits, technical checks and organism updates.
Yes. We ship worldwide via couriers specialising in luxury product transport on pallets. The on-site installation service is available on request for any destination.
